“To have a Democracy, a beacon of hope to now be turned into one of the worst countries,” Omar complained, apparently forgetting that actual dictatorships don’t typically allow refugees to become lawmakers who trash-talk the country on national television.

She doubled down: “This is not the country our founding fathers imagined and this is not the country that is supported by our constitution… we should all collectively be out in the streets!”

Here’s a wild idea, Congresswoman: Maybe the founding fathers didn’t imagine giving free healthcare, housing, and education to millions of people who broke our laws to get here. Just a thought.
